“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”. Quite a tall order, if you think about it. Today I will have to be content with the creation of my first blog post. From little acorns…
This may be my first blog, but I have been writing for a long time. Actually, a very long time. Mostly for my own pleasure but now to give others pleasure. It’s somewhat daunting (make that exciting and just a little terrifying) when you have to stop editing – and re-editing – and launch your creation into the big wide world, hoping to reach out to readers who might enjoy reading something as much as you enjoyed writing it.
In January I published A Confusion of Crows, the first book in a series featuring rookie detective DC Cat McKenzie. And so far, so good: all 5* reviews and lots of interest shown in when the second of the series is going to be available (it’s due out later in 2018, if you’re interested).
My plan is to use this blog as a platform to keep readers and potential readers updated with new publications, my experiences of the whole indie publishing process, and other news and events. So stick with me and you’ll be the first to hear about new books and freebies (coming soon!).
